About Me

I’m Punam Shrestha, a self-taught baker and founder of CAKEUP in Copenhagen. My journey began with a simple wish, to recreate the flavors and designs I grew up with in Nepal. I wanted to offer the Nepali community here a little taste of home, something familiar and comforting. What started as small creations in my kitchen gradually grew into a bakery that celebrates culture and connection through every custom cake.

For me, baking is more than following recipes — it’s about crafting moments that matter. Each cake I make is inspired by tradition, personal stories, and the joy of bringing people together. Through CAKEUP, I hope to share not just desserts, but memories, comfort, and a touch of home in every slice.
